HP has proclaim a slew of new printing and imaging products today, including two new color multifunction printers (MFPs); one monochrome all-in-one, one color laser printer; and two colorless laser printers.
The HP Color LaserJet CM1015/CM1017 multi-function printers print in color and monochrome at 8 pages per minute (ppm). The CM1017 (price $895) features a 2.4-inch color display, memory card slots for suitable photo printing, and built-in networking. The CM1015 ($599) has a two-line monochrome LCD panel—but no memory card slot. Both printers allow users to send scanned documents (such as manuals and reports) directly to the desktop or an email address, or to a network drive for easy archiving. The A4-size scanner is 24-bit color, and a 250-sheet input paper tray and USB 2.0 ports are standard.
The HP LaserJet 3050z All-in-One (price $319) offers monochrome printing, coping, faxing, and scanning functions. It also comes with a handset (corded) that allows users to make normal voice calls and key in fax numbers on the keypad.
The HP Color Laserjet 2700 printer series (priced from $599) are 600×600 dpi models equipped with 300 MHz processors and 64 MB of memory (expandable to 320 MB). The printers can print in monochrome at up to 20 ppm, and in color at up to 15ppm. The models have a 250-sheet input tray; Postscript 3 emulation, USB 2.0 ports and 250-sheet output bin.
The HP LaserJet P3005 printer series (priced from US$649) replaces the HP LaserJet 2420/2430 printer series, and offers many enhancements including higher duty cycle and more memory. It also has twice the paper input capacity of the LaserJet 2420/2430. Powered by 400 MHz processor and 80 MB standard memory (expandable to 320 MB), the 1200×1200 dpi P3005 can print at speeds up to 35 ppm. It has a 500-sheet input tray, and is rated for a duty cycle of 100,000 pages per month.
The HP LaserJet P2015 Printer series (priced from US$329) is suitable for small workgroups or single users. This 27 ppm, 1200×1200 dpi printer series replaces the HP LaserJet 1320 series, and features 32 MB RAM (expandable to 288MB). USB port, 250-sheet input tray and a rated duty cycle of 15,000 pages per month.
